Bradley’s social work program equips you to be a compassionate social service provider in multicultural settings.
Bradley’s social work program introduces you to factors that influence people and shows how you can help people through difficult situations. You learn about human behavior, family structures, cultural influences, government policies and social work practices. The program also includes multiple opportunities for field experience at social service agencies in the Peoria area. Beyond the classroom, you can explore career interests through sociology and social work honor societies and student clubs.
The social work degree successfully prepares you to enter the workforce or graduate school. In recent years, almost all students found jobs or continued their education within six months of graduation. Recent graduates are working for Americorps, Catholic Charities USA, children’s homes, city governments and health care systems. Others are attending graduate school at Case Western Reserve University, the University of Illinois, University of Michigan and University of Wisconsin.
Bradley and Peoria share much in common — a diverse population, world-class research facilities, outstanding fine arts and entertainment, and a great sense of community. This bond provides our students with unique opportunities for internships, class projects and research.Explore Peoria
